Terracina

TERRACINA: midway between Rome and Naples. Volscan, Roman and Southern Vatican Kingdom city, it preserves several ruins of its thousand-year history in the Old Town Centre and where is possible to admire a stratification of ages: the Roman Phorum faces towards the medieval Cathedral; not far is the Appian Road with the Capitolium and the medieval house of Azzi that is connected with the Church of Purgatory (XVII century).
The most modern part of the city was built during 700s, between the sea and the country and offers several attractions such as the Church of S. Salvatore. On the top of the mountain is the area of the Temple of Juppiter, that joins the beautiful suggestion of the monument to the admirable landscape.
